Introduction
Edwin F. Houghton first made rust preventives in 1867 when looking for markets and applications for refined oil products found in the newly discovered Pennsylvania oilfields. To this day Houghton specialises in development of Rust Veto and Cosmoline metal treatment products for all types of industry.
Rust preventives are available for applications ranging from dewatering inter-operational indoor protection of machined parts to long term outdoor protection of oilfield tubulars.
A wide range of chemistry includes solvent, oil and water based products.
