Our experience with water based hydraulic fluids began in 1954 when we were requested by the US Navy to develop a fire and explosion resistant product for the safety of US sailors. Our new Houghto-Safe technology pioneered the use of water glycol hydraulic fluids and 50 years later Houghton products still continue to meet the stringent requirements of US Military and UK Ministry of Defence specifications.
Our fluid technology is now meeting the challenges of the Offshore Industry with new products meeting OEM approvals and the latest environmental legislation for marine discharge.
Our offshore products maximise environmental acceptability by meeting both OSPAR and SFT 2007 requirements for use in production and exploration operations.
